Is it wrong to find my reason so funny!

So since being home this summer I have had almost no drive to do anything at all. This is weird because I have never had that happen before. I have been thinking of my stories and such non-stop, but I just can’t make myself commit to paper, or computer in this case. I find that I am sleeping WAY more than I did this entire past year. I’ve also come to the sad conclusion that my friends will not call me on their own. If I want to hang out or do anything I have to set it up, and I’m just so tired of it. It is a sad thing when you realize you have outgrown many of your old friends, or grown apart. So much changes and stays the same that it is bizarre. I really wish I hadn’t come home; there is nothing that was here before. My friends aren’t here; there wasn’t anywhere we really hung out. There is almost nothing to do for dun around here except the movies and mall, and that is expensive. But enough moping for now, I wallow in my self pity enough as it is. I saw 300 finally. I only saw the first trailer almost a year and a half ago and have wanted to see it since then. I thought it was an interesting mix of surreal and truth. Parts of the Spartan society were correct, but overall the men were too loving. But they would make horrible heroes for us sensitive Americans if they were portrayed as the emotionally and psychologically damaged meant hey would have been. And the completely made the Spartans homophobic, yet they were known for promoting the love between the soldiers as a way to protect them. You fight harder when it is for the people you love; hence it’s best if your lover is next to you. Yet again something that most American’s wouldn’t understand! I think it’s interesting that there are not very many chances anymore when you can really test yourself and your bond with someone. There is something romantic (in the literary sense of the style and emotion) about an epic fight, that just is no longer present in our society. There is something extremely poetic about being a heroes based on skill, work put towards that goal, and will power, rather than who has more money for better weapons. Battles have separated themselves from the people, which is sad. War means the loss of life, ideas, a way of life, changes, and mostly humans. Yet now there is more machines than people, we forget the faces of the people suffering from the bloodshed, we no longer see them as we swing the final blow, we hide and pretend there was no other course. Darn I went depressing again. On a lighter note I am finally out to my mom, as of May 24 at lunch. She asked me about it, and I didn’t want to lie anymore. I don’t think she understands completely, but she is willing to work through it when/if I bring a girl home. I still haven’t talked to any friends, my brother and defiantly not my dad. One step at a time. On an even better note I had on f the happiest experiences in a long time. I can’t remember the last time I was so excited. There was a very nice girl (I think it’s a she) that went through my Fictionpress account and made a ton of comments. She really boosted my confidence. I just can’t trust people’s opinions that I know, people lie to protect other’s feelings. It was something I really needed, especially because I almost took them all down a couple weeks ago. That was the best surprise in my e-mail that I have had in so long. I think I’ll start making writing more of a priority for now. If this journal is any start, then it’s looking good.

Band camp...not as bad this year...but still not awesome. Read another article or several about ath John Phelps and his wretched actions. My nose is now again twitching non stop!
